When Gabi first came to Brendan Sailing, she wasn’t sure what to expect—or whether she could do it. Living with learning, social, and physical challenges, she found something extraordinary at Brendan Sailing: caring instructors who understood how she learned, friends who encouraged her, and the confidence to try something new. As Gabi shared, “The Brendan instructors explained things to me in ways I understood and allowed me to do it myself.”

Those words capture the heart of Brendan Sailing. Through individualized sailing instruction and a supportive community, young people with learning differences discover confidence, independence, friendship, and a sense of belonging. For Gabi, that growth extended far beyond the water. Today, she’s the one welcoming new campers, answering their questions, and encouraging them to believe in themselves.
