Host of WNAV’s The Boat Show, Capt. Rick Franke, has loved boating and sailing since the age of five when he moved to the head of the South River. He started teaching the art of sailing in 1968 at Annapolis Sailing School as a Junior Instructor and has been aware of Brendan since its inception.

In 1996 he negotiated the purchase of Kidship Sailing for Annapolis Sailing School, which paved the way for Brendan’s future home. He joined the Brendan Board of Director’s in March of 2018 and looks forward to being apart of the growth of the organization, increasing the number of young people who can benefit from the program’s unique approach.
